Received the "Award of Excellence" at the Supply Chain Innovation Awards
On Friday, July 14, Kirindo Co. Ltd., Miyazaki Corporation, paper manufacturers, and our company received the " Award of Excellence at the Supply Chain Innovation Awards 2023*.
This initiative is the creation of a sustainable "resource recycling cycle" utilizing existing distribution flows in cooperation and collaboration not only with manufacturing, distribution, and sales, but also with resource recycling businesses.
Specifically, we have established a system that reduces the number of packer trucks by utilizing the return trips of delivery trucks to collect broken cardboard boxes generated by retailers, and by combining this with our center's "automatic collection and compression of broken cardboard boxes" function, eliminating the need for compression and processing by resource recyclers.
This system improves truck loading efficiency, reduces the number of times of loading and unloading, and improves efficiency in the process of collecting and recycling broken corrugated cardboard boxes.
This is the fourth consecutive year that we have received this award. Thanks to the cooperation and collaboration with our suppliers, we have been contributing to solving social and environmental issues through optimizing and streamlining the entire supply chain.
In addition, in cooperation with Miyazaki Corporation, we will donate a portion of the proceeds from this initiative to the "Green Fund" and will continue to promote sustainable initiatives by taking advantage of our unique distribution function, which is positioned between manufacturing, distribution, and sales.
