Received "Special Award" at the 24th Logistics Environment Awards
On June 27 (Tuesday), NYK received a "Special Award" at the 24th Logistics Environment Awards presented by the Japan Federation of Logistics Organizations (JFLO).
This initiative was undertaken in cooperation with Unilever Japan, Lion Corporation, Suzuyo Corporation, and Suzuyo Cargo Net Corporation to improve vehicle loading and operating efficiency by leveling order lots, regularizing order dates, and changing delivery times for round-trip relay transportation by low-floor trailers between Kanto and Kansai. The project aims to improve vehicle loading capacity and operating efficiency by equalizing order lots, regularizing order days, and changing delivery times.
This initiative received the highest award from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism at the "2022 Green Logistics Partnership Award for Excellent Businesses" on December 22, 2012, and was highly praised for improving the working environment for drivers and reducing the number of vehicles used and environmental impact such as CO2 emissions while improving transportation efficiency through collaboration among multiple companies from different industries. The award is highly regarded for its achievement of reducing environmental impact, such as the number of vehicles used and CO2 emissions, and improving the working environment for drivers while improving transportation efficiency.
- Switching from long-distance transportation using chartered vehicles for direct and overnight transportation to relay transportation using intermediate bases with maximum shortening of empty distance and one-day transportation with no standby.
